The Story of the Family Meal
What does a “family meal” mean to you? What memories do you have of your own family meals?
From 14th July to 6th August, Times Square will hold the exhibition titled ‘Sweet Memories of Home Cooking in Hong Kong. In the exhibition visitors will walk down memory lane through the tastes of old Hong Kong. Nine Hongkongers who have a deep love for this city share with you all their fondest memories about home cooking in Hong Kong, along with their recipes and kitchen models. The exhibits highlights include: 1:12 miniature models of traditional festival dishes; a mini show of a family meal in Hong Kong in the 1980s; three 1:12 models of Hong Kong kitchen in the 1980s; the recipes of the famous cooking TV shows during 1970s to 1990s; and the recipes of Master Chef Chen Wing which are more than half a century old. Visit the exhibition for delights and you may have the opportunity to bring home a bagful of wonderful snacks. Every Saturday and Sunday, between 2pm to 6pm during the exhibition period, donate HK$20 to End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation, you may have a chance to take home the snacks at your choice.
